You’ll learn how to photograph your pet in soft natural light, avoid harsh shadows, capture clear tonal contrast, and choose angles that show both structure and personality.
2. Drawing & Structure
Learn how to build a believable drawing rather than simply copying a photo.
We’ll break the subject into simple forms, look at underlying structure and proportions, and learn how to see through to the bone structure beneath.
3. Composition
A good pet portrait feels personal and full of character.
We’ll explore composition, cropping, and whether to include background elements or objects that help tell a story and reflect your pet’s character.
4. Value & Colour
Learn how to simplify light, shadow to create depth, realism and harmony.
