Looking for a creative summer holiday activity for 11–13-year-olds? Join artist Kirsten Norbury for three inspiring, hands-on workshops exploring the work of famous artists through painting, collage and sculpture.

Each 3 hr session introduces a different artist and technique, with every child creating a unique artwork to take home. Book one workshop or enjoy all three.

Love colour, cake and giant sweets? In this fun workshop we'll explore the colourful paintings of Wayne Thiebaud before creating our own oversized sweet sculptures using Modroc. Inspired by his famous cakes, ice creams and confectionery paintings.

Discover the bold collages of Romare Bearden and learn how artists use colour, shape and texture to tell a story. You'll create your own mixed-media album cover using painted papers, collage, typography and acrylic paint, designing artwork that reflects your own ideas and imagination.

‘My Happy Place’

Shadow Box bedrooms inspired by Joseph Cornell

Thursday 20th August | 10am–1pm

Step inside the imaginative world of Joseph Cornell and create your own miniature bedroom inside a shadow box. Using recycled materials, paint, collage and found objects, you'll design a tiny room filled with your favourite colours, hobbies and personal treasures.
