Terms and Conditions

Kirsten Norbury Art — Class Booking Terms and Conditions

These terms apply to adult painting and drawing courses, workshops and taster sessions booked for specified dates.

1. Booking and payment

Please check the dates, times, location and materials arrangements before booking. Your place is confirmed when your booking has been accepted and the required payment received.

Full payment is required before the course begins unless an instalment arrangement has been agreed in writing. The total price and any materials charges will be made clear before payment.

2. Cancellations and refunds

Bookings reserve a place for you on the specified dates. There is no automatic entitlement to a refund if you change your mind, decide not to continue or cannot attend for personal reasons, including illness, holidays or work commitments.

If you wish to cancel, please email kirsten@kirstennorbury.co.uk as soon as possible.

Any cancellation charge will be limited to the reasonable net loss arising directly from your cancellation. This may include costs already incurred and lost profit, after allowing for costs saved and income received from a replacement booking.

Reasonable steps will be taken to refill your place. If your place cannot be filled and the resulting loss equals the booking fee, the full fee may be retained. If the loss is less, the difference will be refunded. An explanation of any deduction will be provided on request.

This policy does not affect your statutory rights.

3. Missed classes and leaving a course early

A course booking is for the whole advertised course, rather than individual sessions chosen week by week.

If a scheduled class goes ahead and your place remains available, absence does not entitle you to a refund, credit or replacement session. If you withdraw from the remainder of a course, the cancellation policy above applies.

A catch-up session may occasionally be offered by prior agreement, subject to space and suitability. Catch-up sessions are not guaranteed.

4. Transfers

There is no automatic right to move a booking to another date or course.

You may request to transfer your booking to another suitable adult before the course begins. Please obtain written agreement first so that suitability and any materials requirements can be checked. Agreement will not be unreasonably withheld.

5. Instalment payments

Where instalments have been agreed for a fixed course, they spread the cost of that course; they do not create a separate booking for each session.

If you cancel, any remaining amount payable will be assessed under the cancellation policy above. You will not be charged more than the reasonable net loss resulting from your cancellation.

6. Cancellation or changes by Kirsten Norbury Art

If I cancel a course or workshop, you will be offered a full refund for the cancelled booking or the option to transfer to another date.

If I cancel an individual session within a course, you will be offered a replacement session or a proportionate refund for that session.

If a significant change to the advertised dates, location or content means you no longer wish to attend, you may cancel the affected booking and receive a refund for the services not provided.

7. Materials and studio safety

Your booking information will explain whether materials are included or whether you need to bring your own.

Please follow studio safety instructions and use materials and equipment as directed. Please tell me about any relevant allergies, access requirements or support needs so that we can discuss appropriate arrangements.

Wear suitable clothing: paint and other art materials may stain.

8. Personal belongings and liability

Please take reasonable care of your belongings in the studio.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot legally be excluded or limited.

9. Questions and complaints

Please contact Kirsten Norbury at kirsten@kirstennorbury.co.uk with any booking questions, cancellation requests or concerns. If something is wrong with the teaching or service provided, please let me know promptly so that I can try to resolve it.

Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
